And don't forget Havana, Cuba! Weekly matches start at 3pm on the corners of Calle 23 & 2, in the heart of Vedado. Polo like you never thought possible, practical or safe!
Where to play polo this winter
So your court is covered in snow or ice, or bone-chilling rain. When the sun finally comes out you use the crappy backup court with the melting dog shit and the chain link fences that rip holes in your midsection. What you need is a polo-cation somewhere indoors or under a warm tropical sun. Here's a list of places to play polo this winter.
January 12-13 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico
Guadalajara is home to the oldest and i think biggest club in Mexico. This tournament has been in the works for awhile. If you're into surfing Manzanillo is a 3 hour bus ride away. Better book your tickets quick, it's only 11 days away.
Jan 19-20 at the Saint Louis Bike Polo Lock-In
Is this the fourth year? Who cares. Go for the party, play a bit of polo. Sold out i think...See the LOBP thread or check out http://STLBikePoloLockIn.blogspot.com
Jan 26-27 in Rouen, France

Another winter tradition, this time outdoor, is the Epiphanie tournament in Rouen. Rouen's covered Saint Exupéry Stadium is one of the best polo courts in the world, and this tournaments will be attracting some top quality teams. No poster yet but it's always a beauty. Registration begins at Wednesday January 9th at 12:00 GMT. Only 16 teams, so expect it to sell out in seconds. Dress warm.
Feb 9-10, 2013 at the Desert Polo Invite
If you can get yourself to Phoenix AZ, check out the fifth annual DPI. This is one of the longest-running polo crews in the world, with origins in grass polo in the 90s (or earlier?). This year, this tournament is freed from the pressure of being an NAH qualifier, but will still feature some slayers.
Feb 9-10 in San Juan, Puerto Rico
This might be the best candidate for picking up where Pensacola left with the Spring Break Polo. Some Bruiser teams from the Midwest, some Cascadians, some Northside hoser teams, a Magic British team... they're all converging at this tournament hosted by the growing polo crew in San Juan. If enough teams show there will be two side-by-side courts.
March 2-3 in Austin
Austin just announced a wedding (?) themed tournament. Go get hitched! If you're not in a rush, stick around for SXSW a week later.
Mar 1-3 in Toronto
The same weekend, Toronto is planning an indoor tournament at the Toronto International Bike Show. It's still in the rumour stage, but it's looking good... stay tuned.
If you do travel to Havana, consider using a bike you could leave behind to someone. It's a great gift to give as a tourist.
Or come hang out with us here in Los Angeles where it's 74 out side and clear skies!!. It's only early January
"We don't need no education"

I'll go wherever Ben Hunter wants to play with me.
Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...
