Still planning but looks like we may have 3 courts this year, One indoors. All large - cause that's how we roll in Calgary. Calgary will be hosting their 3rd annual Polo Tournament on the first weekend of the Calgary Stampede again. It is the Ramsay Bowl you know and love, only the name has changed. I will update this post as details become available, but if you want to mark your calendar early, this will be the weekend!! *** please note it was originally posted as the 16 - 18th but it has officially been moved to accomadate the North Americans in Madison this year.

Its a custom fab shop .. they did the fancy trophies last year for us ... speaking of that .. is anyone really that interested in more Velocity rims this year?.. I do a lot of the sponsorship stuff and I know its a pretty typical prize now days .... or should we get a local escort agency sponsorship and have pretty girls to hand out for the night...hmmmm

Yep I do believe so .. unless we get a indoor/outdoor venue we have been looking into with full locker rooms and showers and everyone just camps out on the court for the weekend .... if we do move it to another court .. don't worry it will only be be a better venue ..

x2, there's a 50/50 chance I'll be coming out to this as well.
calgary is the shit, you have not seen a better hosted tournament. great weather (warm and dry), great people, 18 year-old drinking age, the stampede timing is awesome, top-level competition, and when here you are really just a few mountain ranges away from cascadia for more pre- or post-area-51 action.
calgary takes hosting seriously, mark this one down as a 'must'.

Well I'd like to say the dates are confirmed. I'm just trying to figure that out myself actually. It would be for sure if it wasn't for the fact that the Madison guys are thinking about the same dates for North Americans. I'll move it for them if I have to, but I wish they'd decide soon, I'd like to know. If we move it it will be the week earlier probably. 1st weekend of the Stampede.

It's official, Those courts are good to go. I just got the OK. (2233 5th ave NW is my house, if you click on that link you'll see the courts.) There will be pickup on the Friday Either at Knob Hill where the tourney was last year, or at our other new courts which are two blocks from my house....probably there since there are two courts there.) Then Saturday & Sunday will be at the courts in Canyon Meadows...I can't wait, those courts are sweet!!

Thanks so much Calgary. I'm sitting in your fine airport as we speak. Fav game was first one against trefoil. 45-50 minutes long. This is what polo is all about bichas! NO TIMED gAMES IN BIKE POLO!!! Final was awesome! East van b team takin it to Calgary! Thanks Justin and heather and the rest of Calgary bp. Zack I loved playing with you. We will do it again. Big special shout out to mamma and papa Frey. They kept us in good shape throughout the tourney and kept EVERYONE dry on the first day. Much love. Rory: two more big ones!
Ya thanks to everyone who came out, I had a great weekend, and I'm almost recovered now....other than a bit of rain on Saturday and having to shop vac water off the courts a bit, I don't think anything could have gone much smoother. A big thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers that help make it happen too. We kept costs for participants to a minimum this year with a $5 entry fee, and free beef on a bun, and still managed to give away even more prizes than previous years, including three complete bikes, and a custom handbuilt frame & fork. See you all in a couple days in Madison!!!
Calgary, you are the best. It just doesn't get any better than screwing the stampede because bike polo there is so much better.
