drunkie, you have front brake issues ever? such as the through-bolt bending in a crash, thereby putting the calipers at strange angles until you bend it back? I am ruining front brakes left and right.

Hey Chris, no other than the chain issue, which i think i have sorted thanks to those great hubs! No brake issues, what kinda brakes are you runnin? i have some 600 calipers and there solid. I did have a rear brake in the front that kept snapping bolts but now that i have a real frontbake it's all good.

so far i've busted a cheapy tektro and two shimano 105s i had sitting on other bikes. they're not serviceable so i cannot replace the bolts. instead i just get to keep bending them back to straight until the become so stressed that they fail totally. my next move is a time trial brake mounted behind the fork. should have it in time for portland. i am also trying to figure out whether i can braze canti mounts on my fork. all the forks that have them already would screw up the geometry on my bike too much to be worth it i think. your bike, though, is hot. no wonder you shoved me when i stepped on it :)
