That fork is straight but the rake is likely the same so I don't see an advantage. A straight fork with v-brake mounts is hard to find.

I'm pretty sure this is a Specialized Rockhopper, but it's been painted over. I'm also pretty sure it's aluminum. Whatever. It's really light, and really awesome. All I need now is a straight-blade fork. Anyone know of a cheap straight-blade fork with v-brake mounts for 26" wheels kicking around?

The Brave Hardrocker seems nice. Too bad one would cost pretty much the same as the rest of my bike. Not to mention shipping from England would suck.

Check out Kona Project 2 forks. Straight-bladed/v-brake mounts, but with just a bit of rake.
