Do it! it's gonna be awesome. We started some more serious planning last night with the CHC crew... good things are on their way!!

ok, i've thought harder and i can't really see myself not doing this...

unfortunately my usual team mates aren't in a position to join me, so i'd be looking for a team.

I'll work out flights and stuff when i get paid next month and let y'all know.

Ranga dave just bought tickets and has no team. (Check on fixed)

keen!

AHH! I so wish I could come! Its going to be amazing!

I've heard Bywater is nice. It's a quaint little village situated a short walk east of Hobbiton.

brox, come over here and say that sh*t to our faces... Dingo, most likely tho' lots of people have different housing situations following the EQ, I'll be back in touch on this really soon.

Craig, my sincere apologies, completely made in jest. I love LOTR.

x 2. Are LOTR tattoos mandatory for tourney entry? I have an ent on the back of my leg!

And from what i've heard, another trunk between them!

Seems Jetstar have a flights sale on 'till midday 25th May and it covers fights around the 6th August to CHC. Get on board!

Just checked my uni calender. Turns out I can't make it sorry :(

Piss Corner Polo is Forever. Storm Boys - Australian Champs '11.

Just confirming the rumours. I am heading over! Woot!

Now everyone else that were "interested" get keen! Oh, and Jetstar is having a sale!

Tom from ADL and I are looking at flights today too. Pretty sure we're going to be there.

Seems as though the prices are slowly heading back up again. Scoring some of Rangdog's gear would make up for it though... ;D

Yo! Just bought tickets and bringing the noise!

No family feuds on court tho' bro...

Leave is booked, just need to wait for flight prices to drop again...

Aaanndddd triple dutch ruddeerrrrrrrrr.. GO!

Hey Craig

Unfortunately Locky and I will not be able to make it to Christchurch for the tournament. Locky can't afford it with Seattle so close and I can't get any more time off work.

I'm really sorry for backing out. Hopefully we can make it over another time.

V

We'd love to see you anytime - good luck with Seattle and thanks for dropping us a line. Chur Bro'.

Air New Zealand has a sale on at the moment. $150 off normal economy from most Oz cities. Cheaper than Jetstar. Sale ends 2nd June.

Unfortunately I only fly first class so I can't get this discount ;D

Awesome, thanks for the heads up! checking it out now...

Jetstar again today too. Melbs to Chch for $255 return incl. baggage...the polo gods are telling you something Australia.

if I land Friday 5pm, would it be easy enough to make it to the courts for the 8pm start?

Easy as pie... infact you'd have time to settle into your accommodation, eat and assemble your bike beforehand.

Great. Just got the tickets, now need to ask for the time off work...

eat your bike??

i promised my dentist i wouldn't try it again..

If I was still going to be in the southern hemisphere i would be there in a second!

I've been so psyched on NZ polo since i first heard you guys were playing, and was so excited to see you guys make it to Adelaide. Im pretty bummed I'm going to miss out on this.

As for the rest of you, the flights are SOOO cheap, just freakin do it already!!! Brotherly love and all that.

Awesome, just booked from Melbourne to Christchurch, now to find cheap flights to Melbourne.
I'm getting in at 5pm on Thursday evening.
Suggestions for stuff to do in Christchurch for Friday? (I've never been to NZ before).
Recommendations on places to stay?

Snow sports on Friday - the mountains are awesome in August and ony 1.5hrs from CHC to ski fields. I'll PM you soon to discuss places to stay and other sweet stuff to do here.

Awesome, that would be really helpful. Its a while away so no rush, but the best way to and from the court and a recommended hostel would be great. Maybe some of the inter-staters might bunk up together at the same place to make it easier. Michael from Christchurch is stopping by Sydney this weekend so maybe he could run some of us through it too.

Curse you AirNZ, cheap flights on the Sunday and Tuesday, but not on the Monday!?

really? my monday is cheaper than thursday. going to book it tonight.

Tournament rules and pre-order souvenir Tee Shirts are now up on our site..

No refs!!! WOOHOO!!!

no ball jointing though? even in your own half?

Hahaaaaaaa Brook! There goes half your game!

I can't say no to a good BJ...

but come on, I don't do it as much as stephen!... do i? At least we only play half court. Looking back at the footage of Julien at last years nationals (with full court BJ'ing) is pretty interesting. I think its definitely an improvement to restrict it.

Julien called it "le snake". He couldn't believe we were allowed to do it whole court so he decided to take advantage :)

Shame Locky isn't coming - he would really benefit from no refs.

Like I said (somewhere...can't quite remember where)... Local flavour. You'll come away a better ball handler with no BJ's for a whole weekend ! [V. please don't go there].

Another Jetstar sale at the moment, although their site is struggling and i haven't been able to book my Adl->Melbourne leg yet :-(

Getting excited about this, it's going to be an awesome weekend!

Actually more "Faaaaaaaaaark!" Will check courts tomorrow and let you all know, Cheers.

Went down to check the state of the courts today following the EQ's yesterday - no problems, a few really minor cracks around the edge fence but nothing that's gonna be an issue.

Game on!!

Hey Whackers, I'm taking a trip down to the Queenstown ski fields after the polo. Get in touch if your up for some snow with your polo.

That's gotta be the best post polo activity that NZ has right now... may have to dust off the snowboard myself!

Great Tourny!!! Cheers Craig.

T-Town Terrors

Definitely one of the best tournaments I've ever been to, Thanks for running it and making us Australians feel so welcome. I can't think of a single negative thing about it (well, the wind was pretty hectic, but i'm not going to blame you for that one :-p).

Can't wait to play some more cross-Tasman polo!
