East Van Bike Polo
We are staying in American Backpackers Hostel, thanks for the offer though. It'll be me my roomate mike and posibly our fellow travelers who don't partake in polo. Were staying friday night for a night at the bars for my buddy's 19th birthday, were not leaving until sunday and this polo pick-up is the only thing on the agenda for saturday so far, so if you have any suggestions on what to do in vancouver on a saturday I'm all ears.
I'm currently shooting a documentary about hardcourt bike polo, working title "Marco" so I apologize ahead of time if I have a camera in your face asking about your polo crew.
We're so used to polo documentarians at this point, no worries about the camera.
If you are all on bikes, a ride through Stanley Park should not be overlooked. Great 10k seawall.
Commercial Drive, where we play, is a great street to wander up and down. Lots of cafes, restaurant, art, books, used clothes, etc.

Cool. Me and Mike are more polo people than we are bike people. We both picked up biking again after we picked up polo(like 2 months ago), so i'm not sure about the 10k, especialy to avoid taking too much time away from our fellow non-bike-wielding travelers (were already either ditching them or dragging them along for atleast 2 hours of polo) but we will definately check out commercial drive. Are there any good polo documentaries out there already? I have never seen one and thought I was being original haha. I'd love to check some out that already exist.

So I was biking down commercial last night and i saw these dudes with polo bikes and i had to chase them down and ask about polo. I'm from Saskatoon, and i am in the city visiting a friend and checking things out here and i would love to come down and check out a game. The dude i was talking too gave me his e-mail address but I wasn't quite clear on what he said (i sent an email to the address he gave but...it was randyboards or something...?), but he did say there i a meeting happening today...so i figured i should post something here as well. Some of my strengths are painting (interiors, exteriors, portraits), roofing, construction work, prep cooking, babysitting, screen printing, waitressing, communicating well with strangers, gardening, landscaping, and i'm really fun to play polo with on a Sunday afternoon. lmk. thanks! oh and maija might be looking too but she's legal and she has more skills than i.
Ah, I might take you up on the babysitting and can surely offer you a comfy sofa bed to crash on. There will also be gardening... and there'll be lots more polo than just Sunday afternoons!

I'm looking to get from Van to Calgary sometime before the NA's, anyone have a spot in a car? I wouldn't mind splitting a rental, but it looks like everything is booked up because of the long weekend before. I will chip for gas/snacks/fireworks/etc.
