Groups:

I'm down to be a regional rep. I'd prefer to be either the Regional Rep for Outreach or Tournaments.

As far as qualifications go, I'm the club rep in Memphis and I've been playing polo for about 3 years. I've played in about 15 tournaments (6 regional qualifiers). I've organized 1 local tournament and planning on doing 2 this year in Memphis. I use all my vacation time on travelling to tournaments.

My bigest concern with NAH is to grow the sport and get the SE up to par with the rest of the regions. I want us to have as many qualifying bids for the NA tournament as the other regions and I want us to have more people playing the sport than any other region.

If this has anything to do with this, I'm a web designer/developer by day and I'm willing to use my skills in any way to promote our region and NAH.

I'm declaring my candidacy for regional rep. 2013 is going to be a pivotal year for our region, and a big year for bike polo. I want continue the work I've been doing with NAH and the other city and club reps in the Southeast.
I am particularly interested in doing new things to help new clubs develop and help older clubs continue to grow.

my goals for bike polo in the Southeast: More tournaments. More players. Better showing at NA's. *and Worlds.

Travis Smiley also threw his hat in the ring for NAH regional rep.

So, I've decided that I'm going to put my name in for this year again. I think that last year I had a lot of learning to do as a rep and this year I will be able to give more time and energy to it. My club is in a solid place right now and I want to focus on bringing up the region as a whole. We have a lot of really strong players that are getting over shadowed (in the eyes of other regions) by our region being the smallest in terms of cities that play, but that is quickly changing! Before last year there was one club in North Carolina, now there are 5 cities that have an organized club and play! The South East is going to have a big year and I'm excited to be a part of it.

Specifically, I'd like to be the Outreach representative. This job is all about interclub relationships, helping new clubs get a good foundation, building memberships, answering their questions, and helping them with sponsorships. As far as my qualifications go:
I've been playing for 4 years now. I have lived and played in Savannah, Richmond, NYC, and now Asheville. I was the club rep for Savannah until I moved and have been the club rep for Asheville since its birth. I have put on or helped put on two or three tournaments in that time. I have one year experience being a regional rep. I started the Asheville club and we are now a solid crew of 15 or so plus some on the good days, and growing all the time. I've got experience helping other clubs find sponsorships for tournaments and have helped nurture interclub relationships between my state and the clubs close to my city and are looking to expand out all the time. I have been a ref and can teach people how to be refs for tournaments, and I am fluent in Bench Minor format. I feel that the South East will gain a lot of respect this year. (ESPECIALLY IF WORLDS ARE IN SUNNY FLORIDA!)

I'm ready and willing to work hard for the region this year guys!

Today, I announce my candidacy for the position of NAH Southeast Regional Representative - Tournaments.
I have been traveling to bike polo tournaments since early 2009.

During this time, I have competed in, and/or assisted with, more than 20 tournaments including 2012NAHBPC and 2012WHBPC. In 2013, I plan to continue to travel and be involved with many aspects of organizing our beloved sport, working with elected officials of the NAH to usher in the next level of bike polo.

If elected, I will do my best to serve the members of the Southeast Region of North American Hardcourt Bike Polo.

Bike Polo is Our Language,
Good Will is Our Motto,
Friendship is Our Goal.

Play More Bike Polo Together!

I will also officially announce my candidacy. I love bike polo, and have to do a lot of official shit for work so I'm well versed in procedure and what not. Just want to help the sport and our region grow.
