DIY Goals.
I've started on building goals this week. We did have some already, made out of PVC, but they break easily and are a pain to handle (not mobile).
A few day's ago we discovered that your can weld HDPE by using heat. That led to the attached picture, the idea is to build a goal out of solid HDPE-tubes, with 6 corners and two connectors (for the long tubes), being short on money we tested it on some stuff we had laying around; turned out pretty well I think.
I've welded six corners and cut some bamboo stick's to length, then pressed the pipe to fit the bamboo.
Released pressure and it locked tight. :)

We've used a 2.2x1.5m net and it looks like it'll be a bouncer, we'd have to think of something to prevent that in the HDPE version.. Now I'm wondering how did you build/get your goal? I'd love to hear some tips/see some pictures.
There's not too much work to it really; cut and weld, put together. All together it took about an hour to build the first goal. Using standard PVC could do the trick, but if I use the same setup as the bamboo pictures, that'll result in a bouncing goal. Besides I find the PVC corners (or T-shapes) quite expensive, HDPE-tubes are a lot cheaper.
Don't forget to weight it down!

looks like a lot of work.. we just used a wider pvc pipe with the plain old prefab elbows and they work fine. in fact i've never seen one of the joints break. wider tubes make for a stiffer goal too.
