110 spacing is a bit problematic. Gotta use spacers and re-dish the wheel. You had me excited, though.
SOMEBODY needs to make a 48-hole hub with thick-ass flanges at a 120 mm.
135mm are being tested as we speak...

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...
Gotta use spacers and re-dish the wheel.
Not if lock nut -> center flange is equal on both sides to begin with.
Any particular reason why you would want a thicker flanged hub?
Sven mentioned something about Surly drilling out their (120 spaced) fixed/free hubs to 48 hole hubs.

Nope. And if people were testing prototype hubs they certainly wouldn't be able to talk about it.
i bought these hubs awhile ago for my chuckers, and i am not happy with them at all. when they arrived they seemed to be old and refurbished, scratched, and the axle spins on both sides when you tighten a nut on there. i gotta use 2, 15mm's to tighten a nut. and the axle nuts were not included either. i guess you get what you pay for.

Adam, I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience purchasing these hubs. Did you get the sealed or semi-sealed version? Drop me an e-mail and I'll be more than happy to resolve your issue.
-In the listing it states, the hubs have never been laced but shows signs of shelf wear. Shelf wear equates to non-perfect condition(scratches).
-Properly adjusted cones & lock nuts should cure your
axle spins on both sides when you tighten a nut on there
dilemma.
let me know.
I just got a wheel laced to an old style BMX hub and had no trouble spacing it to 130. I don't see why 120 would be a problem.
OGT-COMOPOLO
the problem with 110mm hubs is that getting the chain line straight is difficult at best, as you either have to dish the hub so the drive side is closer to the dropout OR get the crank closer to the frame somehow, which is difficult given that a track setup is already designed with about the shortest bottom bracket spindles I know of.
For true. Maybe it's just something about my skeleton, but when I rode a "true track" set up with a 103 spindle, I eventually had mad hip problems. After bewildered doctors and an 8-week run of physical therapy, I asked Marcus at Yojimbo's about it. He handed me a 110, told me about "q", and the pain was gone within a week. I'll never ride short spindles again.

Any of these hubs still around?
110mm spacing would actually be great for my Monocog...
