Frame to ride 26" front and 700 rear? And where find it in na?

I'm looking for a frame who can keep a good geometry with a smaller wheel in front. I like to play like this since I began polo so I don t really want to change.
Can you put a 700 on the back of a joust bike?
Where in Toronto or Chicago can you buy frames?

cutter + fu fork

lots of mountain bikes will fit a 700 in the back if you don't need a rear brake. i'm sure people in those cities can help you find a co-op or used parts shop if you are just looking for a cheap bike.

i have such a bike to borrow if you can cover shipping

29'er bikes are also capable of doing this. look into the 29'er frames like the SE stout, or dawes deadeye (they are on bikesdirect.com).

or you can buy an eccentric white industries rear hub (not cheap) and lace it to a 700c rim and that would presumably fit onto most 26'' frames.

A generic steel track frame from China does the trick.
If you agree to have a road-bike brake that is.
My wife rides this setup:
700C wheel rear, 26 inch MTB wheel front.
Road-cantilever brake rear, no brake front. Road bike fork.
Geometry changed a bit, but it didn't spoil the broth.
Handles well, turns smooth.

Will add V-brake braze-ons, if it turns out necessary

Surly 1x1 will run this set-up with no problems. In fact, I'd venture to say that most "modern" 26" MTB will fit 700c tires

Also, as a rule of thumb - if it fits a 26"x2.5" wheel/tire, it'll most likely fit a 700x32 wheel/tire

probably too seriously...

I've always wanted to try this. Sound fun.

Realistic bounce

My way is a little tricky, but I bought a Motobecane Jury on eBay before I started playing polo. It's a SS/FG frame for 700c. Welp, when I discovered polo I turned it into my polo bike by putting a 26" on the front because the toe overlaps was a nightmare.

Now it has a 1x1 fork up front to allow for dual brakes. And on the rear? My buddy brazed on V-brake mounts. (Just posted my bike today, BTW. "notsochristian's Jury.")

EDIT: I have the 59cm frame, so the wheelbase isn't ideal. I'm sure it's close to 1000mm. But for a smaller frame, it may not be as bad. The frame is Reynolds 520, so it'll hold up pretty well.
