New wheel build

deciding about what new toys to get this season. what rims/hubs are the 700 peeps out there running these days? Recommends or cautionary tales accepted.

Cheap rhyno lites rims. Have tacoed all three I've had on first or second pickup day.

Hubs: Paul disc Fhub (36h) and rear fixcraft ratchet clapper. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Offtopic: Does anyone have/use/know of any source for titanium bolts for fixcraft hubs?

They are M10's, just pick what head type you want

Big guy here.

I'm a huge fan of the SunRingle MTX33 rim. Its tech a 29er rim. Nice profile, doesn't dent, and has a nice wide cross section.

If 120 spacing- Profile elite hub and Surly Ultra New disc front, 36h
If 135 spacing- so many more choices, 36h

agile for my size.

Big concur on the SunRingle rims.

In 26" they make a MTX33, MTX31, and a MTX29. For 29"/700c, if they make a MTX29, I'd go for it because that's plenty wide, super tough, and a little lighter.

36h is good.
Wheel covers is good.

Combination of choice: Smash + Bang

For a 700c wheel that is a bit lighter the H Plus Son Archetypes are great. I've not seen one taco-d yet and lots of people are running them over here in Aus. They are also super good-looking.

I used to have deep V's, which were also super solid. They are still kicking about on newbie bikes down in Melbourne.

I run Rhyno Lites, which are nice and cheap though I did have one in the front start to come apart at the seam. Up front I've got a fixcraft hub 48 disc and in the rear a surly 48, and purchased my spokes from Danscomp on the cheap. I'm pretty happy with my wheelset.
