Oi,
Cycle Polo started in Dublin in the 1890's, yes? And supposedly the grass thing is still huge in Ireland today.
So... What about hardcourt? What about 2010?!
I'm headed to Dublin and then to Cork from March 15-end of May. I'm hoping to find some hardcourt polo peoples somewhere in South/West Ireland... they have to exist. Maybe they're just afraid of the intranets.
Anyone from elsewhere in the UK wanna help me out? You know of any drunkards in Dublin who swaffle from atop of cycles on the streets?
Because it would be sweet to surf their couch, get wasted for St. Patty's, and play some goddamn polo....

They are doing their Phoenix Cup grass tourney end of April 2010. Don't miss it if you're in the country.
Internetters they are not. I could find some contact info but not sure it would do much good.

All of them brakeless no less.
i found them online before i got here, and we been kickin it since wednesday. played paddy's day polo and then again today, was fucking grand. the sun came out for us.
i am riding fixed with the fellas which i'm not used to but it's a fun new challenge and i certainly can easily keep up with most of them. the front brake has saved me a bit while riding through unfamiliar dublin streets.
beer here is fucking expensive! (7.25 euro for a sixer of the cheapest tall boys, dutch gold homie! that's like $11, but i knew to expect it)
