PIETER'S MACBOOK LAPTOP STOLEN FROM BERLIN PARTY

Police notified, apparently there was a lot of bags and bikes missing:

WHITE APPLE MACBOOK BLACK BAG WITH WHITE O2 SURF STICK

Any info leading to RETURN will be rewarded with no questions asked.

The laptop has 20,000 polo photos from 2006 - 2010 on it from 35 polo cities in NA and Berlin; there was no backup, that died that week. I haven,t even looked at half of them yet.

HELP SAVE POLO HISTORY !!!

the police, apple, and O2 are looking for it, maybe you can help?

ever had an apple laptop stolen? advice? condolences?

thank you polo and thanks everyone for a great weekend in Berlin. (morgan and that guy and the staff at the party for helping me talk to the police last night auf deutsch.)

i will be in europe until september and can be reached 24 - 7 at 157 739 47727 in cologne.

I'm adding it to my collection of stolen items, who ever did this iwill pay you top dollar for this item.

thanks coach! come to the crown sept 21 or something. i,m playing with alexis and capriotti, go birds!

i prey to god you werent using my computer cord!

just sayin not hatin

Thanks for that.

yeah i would like it back please.

just sayin not hatin

That fuckin' sucks.

The run-around from Apple on this is amazing. Berlin police very professional.

Looks like significant progress from Apple and O2 in getting this recovered. I've had to subpoena both parties to release ISP information to the Berlin police and the RCMP in Canada.

If you had something stolen from the party that night get in contact with me, we are on the case.

In other news, the Dutch seaside is loverly. Anyone headed to Eurobike in September?

so nothing going on at eurobike this week? hello?

looks like the berlin cops are on the case. and cologne, and the rcmp. subpoenas are about to be issued to apple via the judicial branch.

emerson get ready, i may hire the private dick next.

Yans:

In some places the police have the authority to issue an order or a subpoena
or a search warrant to compel a witness to give evidence. The police
in the states have that authority. In Canada only a judge can do it.

Apple computers is a witness in that it can tell the police where Piet's
laptop is, but Apple wants a "subpoena" first.

You have been chosen, by your gutes Aussehen und verbindlichem
Lächeln, to make some inquiries as to what powers the German police have, or just
what does a police officer have to do to get a search warrant in Germany?
If it is simply something the police do, like in the States, then I think Piet
would go to Berlin and try to get them to act. It gets complicated, though,
because even if the police can issue a search warrant to Apple, will Apple
give the police information that is any good to use, and then, when the
police department gets that info, will the police act on it.

I think it is a matter of finding a police detective that might be chatty,
describing Piet's situation and that Apple can locate the stolen item
if asked by the police to do so, and whether the police would act.

If the police say: "Nein, Nein, dieses Verbrechen kleinen
Kartoffeln.", then the RCMP here suggested Piet try a private investigator, and maybe you
could ask the police officer if that is done there and which Privatdetektiv
might be recommended.

Good luck

Lou
