CMWC 2003. Were you there?

I have heard a few stories of peoples polo experiences during CMWC in Seattle, 2003. Does anyone feel like sharing? I'm not looking for a play by play rundown, mostly I am interested if you played there, maybe for the first time, and have continued to play. I'm trying to write a short essay and would like to include some quotes from people who experienced a "worlds" event here in the past. Maybe you're planning on being here in the future? Thanks for the help.

i was there at the ripe old age of 23. the pre-event in Portland the weekend before was the first time I ever heard of, or saw, polo. didn't play much in Seattle aside from some mild pick up on the street in front of that headquarters spot. didn't even get to play in that attempted tournament on top of the porno shop. I will be forever grateful to cascadia, specifically Portland, for introducing me to polo. soccer can be The Beautiful game. polo is The Most Beautiful Game

that would have made me...15 in 2003
i was there, now i remeber you alexis (because you still havn't hit puberty yet!) we played like all night on top of the pornshop one night. they also played in the street in front of the venue area. i wanted to play there too, but didnt get in a game...there were some flood lights but it was dark and the action was intense, lots of big crashes..BIG crashes. i think back then a spectaular crash with cuts and whatnot was a badge of honor, now a days it means danger..someone's got some photo's somewhere..speaking of...if someone has any photos of an un-named person competing in the "downhill fixed gear slalom" event naked...forward them to me!
just noticed in the pic at the top. that girl riding the grape crate was kick ass! she was so low to the ground and she made the most out of it. we were coming back from portland and hit traffic. with no warning she jumps out of the car and grabs her bike and rides down the middle of the interstate between all the cars. amazingly funny, we caught up with her while folks in their cars were honking and whistling their praises.. where is she now? whats her name? i bet rev phil would know..
