Yo sven,
I got my team in for free, we just had to volunteer for packet pickup. Normally they will give about 10 teams a free admission for volunteering which is something I learned after doing this race at a discount last year (our team paid 30 dollars total). They offer lots of financial "aid" or discounted entires that don't really change anything about the race just giving a certain amount of people financial options. This year I contacted them in March and managed to get myself and my partner free admission, all we have to do is stand around and help people out from 11am-2pm the day before the race.
then again, your post below this one sounds a lot better than the actual ride. I know you know how to get people shitfaced. love to minneapolis! peace out.

I'm pretty cynical about the whole Urban Assault rides in general. Plus I don't like any of NB's beers. But thats just me. In my opinion its too expensive but if you don't have cool bike stuff going on in your city it might be fun for a change of pace. Its awesome that they hired local Minneapolitan, Adam Turman, to do their art
A year or two ago they farmed the whole event to an event company.
But the basic jist is they run you around the town to different obstacle courses designed to be whacky and different.
Any inclusion of polo is just their attempt to be trendy and cool. And I don't need to spend $90($45 per person) to be whacky for 4 hours.
