so it seems i'm having trouble with my canadian citizenship again ( nothing that can't be fixed, just a lot of paper work again) and i am thinking about moving back to the usa. convince me to move to your city. tell me about the cost of living, economy, and most importantly the quality of the polo played in your city.

richmond is beautiful this time of year. check it out!
rochester sucks. we barely made enough players to play today, and it's either too hot or too cold. it's cha here. i live in a good part of the city and have a 3 bedroom for 685. it's rough to find a job for a lot of people, ans our school system is laying off a shit load of teachers.it is a highly revered city for cycling though. we have like 9 bike shops here.
NYC.
I'm here! you need few other reasons. plus, you know you love this place. and this place loves you.

phoenix:
-rent for a 2 bedroom historic bungalow downtown: $550-800/month average.
-the economy here isn't nearly as bad as in some places, people are still spending money here.
-i could probably hook you up with a pedicabbing job if you wanted one.
-polo is played 3-4 days a week, every week, year-round.
-large but mostly friendly cycling community.
-good mexican food at almost every intersection.
-northern az (flagstaff) is covered in pine forests, and a 2-hour drive from phoenix.
-we have 300-something days of sunshine per year on average.
yes, it's hot during the summer. but winter is really nice, and anyway it's a dry heat haha.
boston is expensive, but cheap apartments can be found.
winters suck but better than ottawa!
polo is up and coming. we have some established talent and a few rookies who will be making a name for themselves soon enough. we have the best polo rink i've ever played in. we have solid turnouts three times a week just about year round, but rarely more than 20 players so you'll always get to play as much as you want. and we play a clean game. little to no checking. just butter passes and big fat goals.
uhmm other stuff: growing bike scene/infrastructure, cultural/educational capital, lots of historic crap, good sports teams, good beer, weed is decriminalized, cheap bus ride to nyc/philly/dc.
coach movin to NYC? they make their own rules, or rather a menace does...
ps see also the roosters thread "the league needs some fun trashing"
thanks

Move to Minneapolis, we have multiple alleycats every month of the year.
Move to Minneapolis, we love bicycles.
Move to Minneapolis, your city sucks.
Here are two articles about our cycling culture. We have alleycats every month of the year and at least 2-3 a month during the "good weather".

Lots of business and manufacturing in this city.
Cost of living isn't too bad. You can easily find a 2 bedroom apartment in a decent part of town for $900-1200.
We play polo every damn week of the year. 2-3 times a week in Spring/Summer/Fall
The size of our crew is steadily increasing.
