Swiss Rounds Software
I created a nice simple Bike Polo specific Swiss Rounds software. I'm sharing it freely with the poloverse so go ahead and download it and check it out.
(Vince, not trying to step on anyones toes, I had started working on this long before I heard you were working on it too.) The software is simple and straighforward. Pretty user friendly. I'm sure anyone will figure it out pretty quickly if you play around with it for a bit. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. The software will handle as many as 200 teams, and it will do up to 12 rounds. It keeps track of goals for and against, and uses this info as well in pairing the rounds. nice n simple. i dunno if this creation has this but, the one feature i am waiting for in my ideal swiss rounds software program is the ability for the software to avoid duplication of team matchups. i'd rather play a team one spot higher or lower in the rankings rather than play a team again. requested and still waiting on this option from Splendid City.
It will not allow the same teams to play twice, it will go to the team closest in ranking instead.
Hmnmm.. I responded about this on another thread too, but...
I did a small mock tourney to test this, and had one draw in the first round and the teams which drew replayed in the second round?
Tried again and it didn't happen. First time was with only 6 teams though. Second time with 12. I guess that has something to do with that...
i ran some test and found duplicate matchups too.
Vince's software also tells you when two teams have already played. Seems like you won't have to wait long.
