Gratitude Amigo!
SF Bike Polo Needs Your Help!
Trying to put the heat on our local Park & Rec. dept. for a permanent home. Our current court is temporary and not bounded on all sides. The Parks dept. is doing a renovation to Dolores Park and we're pushing them to plan for a multi-use play area.
We're really pushing the idea for multi-use so it doesn't look like we're just satisfying our own selfish ends. We WANT to share with others (very much unlike the tennis players)
Anyway, pass this petition link to anyone you know with world wide browsing abilities- thanks!

Signed. I love youse gais.
For the love of hard court bike polo sign this petition. Please!

David and Dus - Thank You!
I'm pulling a Jinxy. I've got a sticker for anyone who sends me a screen cap of their signature on this form, and a mailing address. Send it by email through the lobp contact, or mms to 415 572 eightysix nightythree. Put in the comments where you're from and how you look forward to visiting the progressive bike minded city of San Francisco one day soon. (choose your own true and positive vibe, of course)
Also - feel free to ignore the plea for money that comes up after you post your signature and optional comment. It's the polling site's dealio and we (SF Hardtop) will donate there on your behalf to support the service they're providing.

Signed, my comment was, Cal Andersen in Seattle is a multi use court, dodgeball on weds/fri/sun nights, polo on the other nights, and people typically skateboard/bring their kids in and ride their bikes around/play soccer/whatever on a daily basis.
I don't know how to do a screen cap, but I signed it and twurted it! I commented: "Multi-use courts give children and adults an invaluable forum for athletic activity, coming together as a community, and a diversion from less healthy and less savory ways of spending their time. Spaces such as this have an un-quantifiable impact on the communities that bear them."
Ride, bake, polo, repeat.
I doubt they care about what those of us living abroad think, but signed anyway. will send to non-poloing friends in the Bay area. good luck!

Hey we greatly appreciate each and every signature! Please click the link and say yes to polo!
We are fighting for a good space in the most heavily populated park in SF. Tennis players are preventing the designers from even proposing re-purposing of space for better tennis courts. Our parks department supports over 100 tennis courts and not a single space for anything like bike polo. It's a familar situation in cities around the world. We need help to win a court where we can show the sport to a lot of people.
The local NBC affiliate ran a story. I can't guarantee the link will work.

I think we need to rename the 'MAINTENANCE YARD' into something a little more along the lines of 'POLO PATIO'.
Congrats!

hey joel, great initiative, I reckon we'll get to talk blot about this next week and the week after. before then check out the submission melbourne bike polo made to the city of melbourne. it was just for a long range planning study but the document we wrote makes the case well and we expect to resubmit. it to other departments and areas. please plagiarize as much as you want. just search for "submission" on bikepolo.com.au
