Anyone know anything about converting from Sony MTS and how to get rid of the horizontal interlace lines? (if thats even what they're called) This was filmed with Sony dsc-hx5v. I don't do editing or titles anything, just wanted to get the video online as quickly and easily as possible.

Definitely not trying to cut Mr Do' lunch but happy to take some advice from the master. Really dont want to stretch myself too thin, playing good polo is my first priority, sitting and watching it on the internet comes second... :) Shit, on that note, I'd better get down to the court!
Not sure what editing software you are using, but there should be an option to de-interlace the footage. It may be in the dialog box that appears when you click to export your video. Also, recording in progressive versus interlaced helps, if your camera can do that. I try to film everything in 60p (60 frames per sec, progressive) because it looks best with all the fast polo action, especially playing back in slo-mo, & there is no interlacing. Otherwise, Google search (de)interlacing & your editing software.

I didn't record the movie myself, thats me you can hear reffing, Ray - (my team mate from the worlds) bought his first digital camera for Berlin, still figuring it out... . My partner also has a FlipMino camera that I noticed has the same interlacing issue.
All that exporting and coverting stuff really does my head in. I'm getting the cd that came with the camera tonight and I'll try and re-convert and de-interlate the file.
I'd really like to figure out how to do it quickly and easily. Full games so that people get to see themselves play from another perspective. A way that I could send a file straight from the camera to the internet would also be great, the last thing i need is more polo homework...
