OK this is a new thread to post pictures of tournament trophies.

The Jenny Cup from the Mid Wests is the best. Cos it's got all the winner's names on it and you can drink out of it!

But it makes sparks when you strike it against the ground. That's gotta make up for some weight.

the golden mallet of the ALL FLORIDA BIKE POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS
hopefully tally has put a nice engraving with their names and 2008 on it but we wouldnt know since they havent shown up to any other tournaments since this one in dec 2008.

the east van cup was the "terrible twos" trophy here in british canuckistan last summer, designed and built by none other than nhl-great ales hemsky, a little-known east van prophecy that we like to call "mvp". one of those mallets looks funny hemsky, fix that shit.
i believe this trophy is in the permanent collection of leon and soren, though i hope we have another terrible twos tourney so that they can bring it back and win it again.
please don't piss in this one drew. please.

i don't think that this trophy could ever be out-done. if so, i'd love to see it. jesus, each of those chainrings could have all the winners' names carved into it, rings could continually be added ...
and drew, the stanley cup has been pissed in several times, by Kris Draper's baby among others. so you're in good company?

Awesome trophies!
Here are a few medals that I made for the Budapest 2v2 tourney. Some track cogs, sprayed Silver/Gold (bronze was left raw).
The mallet was sprayed gold on the shaft and head, and wrapped with gold bar tape.
The tyre was the new (at the time) Vittoria rubino gold. pretty schweet. These are the two winners, both messengers and damn good polo players.

we have three new track frames for the winning team at Flour City Invite that we're hoping to get painted gold for trophies. we're also trying to get these gorgeous mallet heads made by my good friend. he made me one as a gift a year ago, and it's terribly handsome, and even more heavy.

so how do you attach the pipe to the spokes? Thats a pretty sweet trophy, really want to make one for our next tournament.

My first idea was to weld the pipe and the stick, but due to the emergency (and the fact that i have no clue or tools for soldner) i simply drill the pipe and put the little stick in it, then i crushed both in a vice:
pro:
easy to do, no soldner work requiered
con:
weaker than if it was welded, be sure that it is a local team who wins.

Thanks, to be exact i finished it at 3 a.m. the night before the final phase (sunday).
Glad people seems to love it.
I think its cost me like 20 euros for the concrete (i used a fraction of the 25kg bag so let's say 3 euros of concrete), 15 euros for the pipe/stick and like 2-3 hours of work, pretty simple.
