the best and longest running 2v2 in the midwest... always in conjunction with the Milwaukee Messenger Invitational (MKE's huge annual messenger race) so there will be bikers from all over the midwest and north america in Milwaukee. Parties all weekend!

- Karlsruhe (because the people that are organizing this, want to play!!!)

Option 1:
Without playing on Friday (only throwins on Friday):
games: 2x 15 min, round robin
= every team has 8 games = 36 games = 18 h

Final:
The 2 best teams will play in a 2x 30 min final.
Forming the Teams:
Every country has 1 week to tell us a captain (we don't care about the process). If a country can't find a captain, we choose one out of the country for them.
The captain has to organize his team as soon as possible. If there are some Americans willing to come, They can play as an extra player (max. 1 per Teams). Just in case some people want to travel transatlantic.
Referees:
Every team has to bring one referee (he has to ref 4 games and can be a player)

the DPI III in tempe (Phoenix) is confirmed for january 29th-30th. the only reason it hasn't been posted yet is because we're waiting to hear the verdict on our bid for an NA tour stop.

Fuck it I am still coming! I was talking to Will and we should just come play friendlies pick up, everyone meet up and ride to the rink or to the roof top market or the tennis courts. Then go party it up, it is a week before Mardi Gras and the amount of stuff to do will be crazy. I cant imagine some one coming down and not having a great time.
a few people in seattle have expressed interest in visiting the south for spring break since pensacola isn't doing a bpsb3 this year. if you guys can make something happen, i think a few teams from here would come. i know that our canadian friends trevor and bottles are interested too.
daniel, do you know dan jatres? he works for the new orleans regional planning commission and might be able to make something happen. he is pretty much solely responsible for all the bike lane projects in the city. his contact info can be found here. i met with him a few years ago for a school project and he was very helpful.

Come check out Minneapolis' new indoor spot. The weekend of February 5th is our cities biggest and baddest alleycat, Stuporbowl. 15 years running it is one of the biggest and toughest alleycats in the world.
A few poloists are coming to town and we intend to party, polo and race.
Little Rock will have another tournament June 11-12. This one will happen Saturday at the start-finish area of a 100 mile road ride on smooth, flat parking lots with temporary boards, then Sunday we'll finish up at our bike polo courts. We're thinkin' laid-back friendlies for this one.

Denver is looking at getting a 2 court, 3v3 tournament, april 30th may 1st. Just to clarify, april 30th is a saturday.
There's gonna be a "GIRLS ONLY" tourney in GVA during the easter break (22 to 25 of April I think). We started contacting ladies around Europe with Nora. Maybe something around 8 teams max. cuz we only have one court to play and don't know how many teams would be interested in movin' over here. We'll confirm it in the tournaments section asap (and when we get a poster)
London's doing an Age Before Beauty Battle Royale one game bench minor on the 19th of March. 29 and under vs 30 and over. Open to anyone, and the size of the teams will dictate the length of the game. If anyone wants to come out for it, get in touch and we'll try to work out housing.

Not sure about real organized tournies. Best bet is East Van Crown, they did it mid/late Sept last couple years.
East Van is couple hours drive north of Seattle. Portland is about four hours drive south. There are lots of other clubs in Cascadia.
SF California is a 10 hour drive south of Portland. LA is another 7 hours or so south of SF. It's a great time of year to visit California.
If you have a car/van and lots of time, you have lots of choices.
I heard from Tim (eastvan) that they plan a tourny to the following weekend after the worlds, I'm scheduling the travel according to this info.

Given the success of the Boston Winter Lock-in In. We have been thinking about some different options if we are to host an event this coming winter 2012.
THE FIRST IS A COMMON SENSE BENCH SYTLE TOURNEMENT MEANT TO PROMOTE AND SHOW THE BEST TALENT AND TEAMS THE REGIONS/CLUBS/CITIES HAVE TO OFFER AND TO DECIDE WHICH REGION/CLUB/CITY ROLLS THE DEEPEST.
( WE ARE STILL UNDECICED ABOUT HOW WE WILL BREAK UP THE 7 TEAMS IN TERMS OF LOCATION ETC – OUR REGIONS WILL NOT BE THE SAME AS NAH)

NO TIME OUTS (UNLESS ITS SERIOUS)
NO REF (WE ARE ALL ADULTS WE CAN SELF REGULATE) AND WE USE HOCKEY NETS

We could potentially keep all the 7 regions on or around the east coast and change the regions to cities/clubs or even group a few together. That way 2 carloads of people could bring all 7 players and bikes and reduce cost for travel etc. Teams would have to organize their own accommodation. Those of you that have played at Hockey-Town know that there are several inexpensive options.
We are open to ideas and input for this. It was thought up and written on a king size rolling paper so that’s all we have right now.
The second option is to throw another open to all tournament, like we did in January, which was fucking awesome fun and attracted the worlds best players.

In the works for a all Pennsylvania tournament. AKA KEYSTONE BIKE POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS. Would like some feedback from all the clubs or anybody who plays polo in PA and would want to come to Philly the first weekend in November.
Soon to be confirmed...... The Spring Break Hawaii tournament will be the week of the 7th-15th of February. Camp sites are available for reserve 30 days in advance. Starting planning, only 24 teams can play. Priority will need to be given to the teams that show ticket stubs first.
Rumour has it NYC is hosting the ESPI this year, and _early_ in the season (March, April). Rumour has it further that the ESPI name is going to be meaningful this time around, so heads up East Side clubs, be on the lookout for your invite. A small bird told me it will _not_ be an open-registration event.

Italy is on fire !!
We have been thinking for a long time to host a huge tournament in Italy, precisely in Padova, a beautiful town in the heart of the Veneto region.
Right into the historical center of the city we have two spectacular side by side 40X20 meters polo courts, perfectly illuminated, with excellent boards and a great smooth surface.
What better place to do our first international event?
The idea is doing a two full days of polo festa with all Euro friends: saturday and suday. The area is available and playable all 48 hours, we just need to decide the format.
Flying is easy. The Venice Airport is approximately 20 minutes by polobike from the Venice train station from which you can reach the train to Padova in another 20 minute ride
If you want to enjoy the sightseeing and take your time, Padova is in the middle of the italian most visited region, not more than 1 hour from Venice and the lagoon, from the Dolomite Alps, Verona and Mantova with is Lakes and from Vicenza and Treviso with is Palladio's villas. You cannot ask for better good food, the best wine and last but not least the Italian sun !!!
What else do you need?

Not to 100% sure, but I heard at the imperia tourney in Konstanz from Hannes and Steffen that the Greifmasters will this year probably happen around the worlds, like the london open.

(Kind of) sad news:
The third edition of Greif Masters will NOT be an indoor tournament and will not happen this Winter.
After weeks of bullshit meetings with the people from the planned location and loads of talking and talking, it's really sad we'll not be able to host Greif Masters 3 at this amazing location. But we'll give it another try next Winter.
Anyways. Here's our new plan. We will host the GM3 as a 2 court outdoor tournament at some point this Summer.
We'll have a perfect brand new (bikepolo specific and specially built for us) Court and one other (also not bad) second court, camping and barbecue at the courts, etc... More details to follow later this year.
The good part about this. As Karlsruhe is very central in Europe, there hopefully will be a lot of international players around because of the Worlds…
