Happy International Women’s Day from the ladies of Memphis Bike Polo!
Out here at Riverdale Park in Germantown waiting on the hockey players to wrap up so we can take over the court. It’s great to see other sports but wish we had a nice court closer to home. Our parking lot is falling apart, getting worse every day. And all this snow and ice didn’t help!
Expanding our horizons. We had a ping-pong tournament. Miles won. That is all.
new years eve and it’s cold.
Crazy weekend!! Cara, Brett and Miles got 3rd place AND Dark Horse!! And Kim, Adam, and Alias weren’t far behind!
We played in the first ever NAH Bench Championship! It was quite the learning experience. We got stomped pretty hard, but we all played hard and had fun.
Broken Bones (Graham/Brett/Adam) ended up tied for 21st at the 2014 North American Bike Polo Championship out of 48 teams. Being in the top 21 teams in the continent ain’t bad! Pagan Ritual (Charles/Andy/Redmond) played good as well!
Memphis at the South Central Regional Bike Polo Championship! We killed it!
Check out this population map for the Southeast region!
Our very own Graham Notestine is in Ft Lauderdale, FL right now competing in the World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship! Graham’s team, MEAN JEANS, made it in via the Wildcard tournament, and are competing today in the PM bracket fighting for a spot in the double elimination bracket tomorrow!
Watch this amazing video from our tournament last year! We’re planning on doing again soon, just trying to secure a spot.
We officially have a team signed up for this year’s NAHBPC! Broken Bones (Graham, Brett and Adam) will be the first team from the state of TN to ever play in NA’s. Jason said he’s gunna organize a watch party, haha.
Just got back from this year’s Southeastern Bike Polo Championship, the best teams in the south! Our two teams did pretty swell. Pagan Ritual (Charles, Andy and Bradley) ended up tied for 13th and Broken Bones (Graham, Brett and Adam) finished in 6th! Broken Bones had to play Ribbit (Sergio, Tiffany and Jake) for the 5th place tie-breaker and lost 4-3.
Hungry! Hungry! Hippolo 3! 5 of us are headed down to Tally this weekend for our first Hippolo. While there are only 20 teams signed up at the moment, the teams seem to be pretty stacked for the SE. Brett, Graham and Andy are playing together and I (Adam) am playing with Jacques and Bernard from Mobile. It’s going to be interesting to see who wins this tournament.
Graham and I (Adam) are headed to the big HOTlanta tonight for the “Georgia Is For Lovers” polo tournament. We’re teaming up with Theo from Savannah and hoping to win some games. I’ve been wanting to play in ATL for a while now, but the opportunity just hasn’t come. It’s gunna be great hanging with all the SE polo fam.
Hey Memphis! There’s some sweet polo gear for sale up at Outdoors! A few of us already have dibs on some of the stuff, but not all of it!
