"short swiss round in morning to seed finals"

Does this mean no double elim on sunday?

Hi Luke,

On Sunday we were planning to do 2 rounds of swiss with the whole crew, then the top 16 go on to double elimination. I believe this is a common way to do things- for example the Great Lakes winter Classic.

Cheers man

Awesome... Lots of polo.

Wicked, sounds great!

GLWC did 2 rounds of mixed swiss on Sunday (24 teams), and top 8 went on to a single elimination bracket.

-20 teams, a double elimination bracket is 39 games (40 if double final)
-20 teams, two rounds of mixed swiss, and a 16 team double elimination bracket is 51 games (52 if double final).
-20 teams, two rounds of mixed swiss, and a 16 team single elimination bracket is a max of 35 games.
-20 teams, two rounds of mixed swiss, and a 8 team single elimination bracket is a max of 27 games.

Combination of choice: Smash + Bang

Thank-you for laying that out. Looks like what we proposed is too many games. OK, we will have to sketch up a new format for second day.

At the end of the day, if you're a good team, you will have a lot of time to play.

Stay tuned.... :)

Oh and Kiki and I are looking for a third slayerrrr!
