We're holding our first tournament!
free housing 2-6 blocks away from the tournament (so you can park your car for the entire weekend!)
soul veg restaurant <5 minute ride on a polo bike, vegan pizza place <5 minute ride on a polo bike,

the Farside Collective (a diy venue space), a 24 hour vegan coffeeshop, Krank It Up! community bike shop, another bike shop, 3 hip bars, and Bread and Roses (a member-run food co-op) all <2 minute ride on a polo bike.

AND this is also the same weekend as fresh fest 4, a punk music fest with a bunch of out-of-town crusties (sorry!) and at least a handful of really good bands playing in tallahassee (mostly at house shows). those guys are throwing some sort of alleycat, too!

the tournament will be on one court, at our usual spot in the basement of a parking garage.

the brackets might be a little slow on one court, but I'm sure we can get it all done without too much hurrying. it'll be indoors (kind of), with boards all the way around, lights all day and night, and it's really really really close to all the stuff I mentioned above. As much of the schedule as can be figured out beforehand will be posted and sent out to teams before the tournament. we're looking at $35 a team to benefit Krank It Up!.

no graffiti/drinking/smoking weed at the court. we are poaching these courts and the university is nice enough to let us do that every night if we want to without getting fucked with. try not to bring negative attention to us!

violence will not be tolerated. at all. tell your teammates.

There will be a few fun tournament specific rules.

so far, the teams are: Ft Myers1, Ft Myers/Tampa, Jax1, Jax2, Pensacola, Atlanta, ATL/Athens/Savannah, Savannah, FTL, Mobile1, Mobile2, Mobile 3, (maybe tampa), Orlando, + 4 or 5 teams from Tallahassee. RSVP with Danny Wood ASAP to reserve your SPOT - with one court, we have a hard cap on the number of teams. there are 2 spots left right now.
