La aspirina. Round polo court. 28m in diameter. Barcelona's first international tourney.
March 19-21st.
Format
Friday, the 19th.
Early registration and throw-in games.
Night games and necessary polo talks. Nothing too formal.
We gather at La Aspirina during the evening, where we will be waiting for the people to arrive. Corner of Marina and Diagonal, near Sagrada Familia.
Saturday, the 20th
End of registrations.
If you couldn't make it on time for Friday, check-in last minute.
Games will be played at Parc del Clot, C/ Escultors Claperós and C/ Flandes
9:00AM at the court
Introduction session. We'll go through the specifics of the game
10:00AM
Round-robin qualifiers.
Everybody gets to play a set amount of games. The best two of each group get to pass to the elimination bracket.
3:00PM
Direct elimination quarter finals.
Finals.
The top teams from each group go battle for the title!
After-party.
Let's get wasted, Barcelona style!
Sunday, the 21st
We sweat off the hangover at the polo court.

Pick up games. Challenge your nemesis for a chance to revenge!
3:00PM
2X2X2 games. Craziest polo you've ever played. Trust no one!
Award ceremony and raffle.

Number of teams depends on availability of more courts. The idea is to play the shit out of our home court, so a smaller tourney would be best. But we have a few ases under our sleeves....

this is going to be fun. Is the court slippy?
We have 2 different fields setup. Our homefield, La Aspirina, is slippery if it's dusty or wet. But the other one is grippy.
There are costs involved with organizing an event. Although we have the support of many companies that have been very generous, our funds are very limited. We have tons of prizes and goodies for the players but unfortunately, I can't pay the paramedics in wheels and mallets.
The tourney at Toulouse was 5€/person, but the t-shirt was 10€. I don't see what's the big deal about it.

Is there a list off the teams participating in the tournament? We are trying to avoid paying the bike tax at the airliner, but we would need this list. Don't ask me why they want it...
