Small We are one week out from this year's Turducken feast. Can't tell you guys how excited I am about this year's festivities. A couple of details:
-Friday around 9PM we will start the registration party at a local bar called Cous Cous (900 W Franklin St, Richmond). Here you will check in and receive your wristband for the tournament, find out your court location for Saturday (this will be posted as a doc by then as well) and start partyin. If you have extra people traveling with you, they can buy a wristband to get beer specials, VIP access to the Party Pimp Lounge and most importantly partake in the feast Sunday early evening.
-Saturday morning we will begin NO LATER THAN 10AM. This is a hard start time due to the expanded 32 team roster and our lack of lights. NOTE: There is a marathon happening in the city Saturday morning so if you are planning to drive from wherever you are staying to the courts you will have a difficult time getting from one end of the city to the other. Please ask one of us Richmonders the best way to get to where yer goin. Dont try to figure it out yourself cuz the road blocks WILL fuck you and then I have to DQ you from a game or some bullshit and that's not what this tournament is about so just be on time.
-The best local roaster (Baby Joey) and his squad at Lamplighter Roasting Company will be providing tasty treats at both court locations to help you wake up but I suggest picking up some food prior to showing up at the courts.
-Our local bike courier/delivery service, Quickness, will be available to deliver foods and such from local spots if you are unable to pull away from the tournament or have someone run out to get you food. You can check them out and bookmark their site here:

-We will have super comfortable Turducken T-shirts designed by Neva Safe's Alexis Mabry for sale as well. With a wristband they are an affordable $10; without they are $15.

I heard this wasn't going to be a very good tournament, so at least three teams should probably drop out.

Our 3rd ben dropped from Matt, Ben and devin. So we picked up tiff from lex. That should open up a team spot, her team originally has split up.
Two things:
1) I won't be extending the number of teams unless we feel it is something we are capable of handling. This tournament has always been a 24 team maximum because we pride ourselves on everyone getting to play 8-12 games on Saturday. Extending it to 32 teams is going to make this more difficult to accomplish.
2) Tiff's team did drop and you will see an updated list on the spreadsheet. Johnny Crash's squad has been added to the tournament unless for some reason his team is unable to make it then it will go to the next team on the waiting list. I am awaiting confirmation on this right now.

Two courts on Sunday will be dedicated to pick up. However, these courts are about a 10 minute bike ride from where the tournament games as well as the bmx comp will be happening on Sunday. No reason you cant go over there and get a couple hours in. Im sure others that don't make it to Sunday will be wanting to do the same.
I had a team dropout and am waiting to here back from Dirks. If I do not get a response from his squad in the next day I will continue on down the list until a waiting team can confirm. Hope everyone is looking forward to how fun this is gonna be.

There isnt electricity at the main courts (Abner Clay Park) but the other location that will be used on Saturday in Church Hill (at the corner of 29th and M St) I believe has an electrical outlet

Hey peoples, gonna be running a tight schedule at the courts on Saturday. I'll be at Abner Clay starting the first round of games at 10:15am. I will unfortunately, definitely forfeit games to teams that are absent. Incomplete teams will play a man/woman (or two) down until their teammates arrive. Please be on time and dont leave the courts unless you are positive you'll be back on time, standard operating procedure. Maaaaan, what a fun and exhausting weekend. Tryin to recharge my batteries and wind down. Hope everyone had a good time this weekend. I had a flippin blast. Sad to see so many bros leave but until next time. Also I found a bern helmet with a fix craft sticker on it. If anyone is missing that, let me know.
