Looks like it is right beside a lake for swimming. Anyone from southern Ontario wanna go?
A north shore drive at the end of august sounds almost as fun as some canadian polo. I'll get a team together
Let me know if you have any questions about crossing the border. For the most part, there shouldn't be a problem as long as you have a current passport. I think the biggest reason for getting turned back is because of DUI's. If you have a DUI, no matter how long ago, you'll be refused entry unless you have papers for temporary resident or "rehabilitation" papers. From what I understand, both are expensive and take a fair amount of time. If you're bringing a dog, make sure it's vaccinations are up to date and you have the papers to prove it.
For any visiting teams interested in coming, please let us know as soon as you can so we can start planning accommodations.
Hope to see you there
Prizes from Fixcraft, Petrie's Cycle, Slates (band), LU Radio & more. Proceeds from the tournament go to Thunder Bay Disaster Relief fund and will be matched 2-1 by the province of Ontario. This fund is set in place to raise money for people whose homes that were damaged by the flooding earlier in the month and are not covered by insurance. The neighborhood we play in was hit the worse so we thought this would be the best place to donate money from the tournament & from tbbp shirt sales.
How did you get Slates as a sponsor? I was their sound guy in Winnipeg a few weeks ago. They are a great band.
I agree, great band & great guys. They didn't have much luck with shows in Thunder Bay so we hung out. Slates sponsorship= slates merch for prizes. They did play a small house show the 2nd time through town but the police busted it up 6 songs in. It's too bad about they didn't get to play a real show here.

Clubs other than MPLS should show up this year! We had a ton of fun last year. These guys definitely know how to throw a good tournament.
