Been going up to LA a couple times now as well as training with my roommate/teammate out in the culdesac everyday working on goal tending to lessen the burden on us all, new defense techniques, built my new mallet today as well and getting used to it in time for the tourney. we will definitely have some team time, Call my cell if i have it back by then (619) 201-0486 or maverick's (619) 417-3741 we are leaving either Thursday night or Friday morning. we are not traveling together as of right now because i have to look after all the peeps we are bringing in the polo-van, and Mav is taking the beemer. We will be in touch.
I almost forgot to mention, i have been participating in yoga for core strength and good center of balance, as well as strength and aerobic training!

But, we found out that although the competition is tough, the sport is also about the friends players make along the way.

"It's really close quarters. You're going really fast and you're getting right up against someone else, and your bars and brake levers and mallets get tangled. Pedals get tangled, and you have some epic falls," says Mo Grady.
Teams usually play for bike parts like wheels and frames or mallets.
"Nobody's out here getting rich, but we're actually starting to see more companies getting involved in sponsoring players and teams," says rider Alexis Mills.
Players traditionally stay at homes of other players during tournaments and sell T-shirts to make money for their teams.

i am SOOOOOOOOOO stoked you are coming to austin for LA3!!!!!!!! Jasmine is equally as pumped! you can stay with us at the polo house, or somewhere close by. no worries at all. know that you will be taken care of and will certainly have a place to stay, no problemo. bring a sleep bag/pad with you if you can is all we ask. we are trying our best to organize a bike prom for the saturday night party so consider bringing a little something special to wear....and sunblock and swim trunks, of course.
I am really hoping to be in victoria in june for that VICF tournament. Haven't found a team yet, but I'm moving to seattle come May 14th.
