Polo

Domination

Xhibition

The Axles of Evil host a two day polo event in Portland, Oregon. June 20th-21st, 2009.

First day team registration at 11:00. Tournament begins at high noon.

This day will be a random order double elimination tournament with your team.

Second day be at the park at 11:00 Tournament to begin at high noon again.

Since I am expecting mostly teams from Seattle, EastVan, and Portland this day will have you placed with one player from each city in another random order double elimination tournament.  This does not mean that this is an invite, all teams from other cities will be split up and placed with players from other cities as well,  you simply will not play with someone from your town.

Because these are some of the longest days of the year and we should be running two courts there should be time for pick up games each day as well.

Location

Pier Park
N. Bruce Avenue N. Hudson Street
Portland, OR 97203
United States

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

count it

You don't get to pick homes. On Saturday I will be asking everybody where they are from and whether they are staying for Sundays event as well. The names will then be separated into three different piles and the teams will be randomly chosen at Saturday nights polo party.

i know, i know. just kiddin around. bearded portlanders are testy...

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

Nah not testy just looking out for you. I think that the three of you shouldn't set yourselves at a disadvantage before the tournament even begins. With any luck you'll all get better players than each other. I'm kidding of course, but I do need at least twelve of you to come down from EastVan. You too Seattle...Corvallis...Eugene...California?! I cant wait to see you guys in March its certainly been too long.

hahahaha...

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

I've got a shit eating grin on my face I'm so excited...I'm so looking for to playing you all again. It has been way too long. Watch out for Brian he's always swinging the big gun!

Rory Bear

Oh yeah and bring Robbie Boards. I gotta meet this guy.

you don't know what you're asking...

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

is there gonna be a "drink this brown bag bottle of hootch" element to add to the randomness?

phil can you make some polo moonshine?

"polo moonshine" is that the fermented runoff of the polo court?

2 parts spilled beer,
1 part blood,
1 part resin,
1 part shredded tire

speaking of moonshine I found the 2 glass jars of Georga Moon (less than 60 days old) in alberta park after the Oregon Championships. im keepin em, so dont ask.

hey by then we might have built a new polo court!

sasha! we miss you! how's the polo coming along in s.korea?

can't wait to be back in the great state of oregon, especially in that park. love the tournament format change-up.

I like the format & the timing, gonna work on getting 415 to throw in.

WANT!!!!

phil-polo moonshine is just moonshine with magic-magic that you give it. i just want there to be a revphil distillery. it seems right. maybe there could be bacon involved?
pieter-oregon may not be accepting east vancouverites who win titles at this time. we'll notify you hosers later. :)
alex-make it happen, boy.
everyone-you best come to this quick tourney of awesomeness. cos you know its gonna be fun.

that is a legitimate request. I will look into our pork coffers and see what kinda infusion i can make.

Bacon......

Hey Tia are any of your boys coming down to Frisco or Arizona?

hey Joey! as far as I know there are no plans to go to Frisco or Arizona for any of the Portlanders currently...But you never know...we're all kind of broke, so I think we're banking on the Seattle/PDX/East van tourneys at the moment. Mike is going out to the ESPIs though...

you might count me in on the young blood tourney that is if seattle will pick me up on the way down.

May the force be with you.

May the force be with you.

Yep, we will be playing there both days of the tournament, and since it will be the first days of summer it should be dry and we shouldnt have to worry about either of the courts being slick this time. I already have my tickets to Philly and I am currently putting together a new bulletproof set of wheeels that will also allow my Phobia to run fixed. Im excited!

and it will be a late night, but with the trees and canopy it may not be very bright when the sun sets.

regardless i put it up on the Pedalpaloozer calendar:

http://www.shift2bikes.org/cal/viewpp2009.php#20-660

Let me know if you dont want that attention, its going in every mercury and the deadline is in a few weeks.

anyone coming into town in June please check your liver at the border, it would just get in the way.

What, my liver is my compadre. I treat it horribly and it keeps me going. Yes, me and my liver are looking forward to the abuse. And we're planning on bringing more 415 friends.

A bunch of us LA kids will be coming up for Pedalpalooza, I'm hoping we're still in town for this!

polopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolo

I haven't done all of the research that I need to on this yet but barring any further permit fees to set a porta-potty up in the park, how does everyone feel about paying a little extra for this one to have a porta potty set up right next to the courts? I can get one for two days for $105.00 so it would only be a couple dollars extra per person as long as the park doesn't want to charge me as well.

Hey Brian,

the bathroom distance was never an issue for me but I'll pitch in fo shizzle.

RB

SF is bringing an excited crew. Six is what I'm guessing right now. Will be happy to help on porta pottie costs.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=port+townsend&daddr=US-...

you need a team to register, or two other players. when are you arriving in town? I'm sure other folks will be looking to form teams as well, and we've got extra bike and mallets too....

okay. i was confused by this. so, first day is a team tourney and we have to come with a team.

second day is teams comprised of players from different cities.

is this correct?

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

Yes, and I'm sure teams will be forming last minute so everyone will get to play.

I want to effing do this so bbbbaaaddd!!! GOSH I got to make this happen!

oh I guess i was kinda confused by that too then. I do need a team? I don't know any of you guys but you can sign me up for whatever team, i don't really care. i've been playing in milwaukee for almost 2 years. i'm not a pro, but i play with pros every week. and score on them. I'd just like to play. a lot of pick up too.

we don't have an exact date to get into town but i'm sure it'll be by the 15th-18th. if you want, message me. Is there a registration fee?

The way the tournament works is that there are actually two double elimination tournaments. The first day you play with a team that you set up and when you register for the first tournament I will keep track of where you are from and after Saturdays tournament we will plan on hanging out somewhere and while we are there the people will be separated as close as possible to teams with players from three different cities put together on one team. That assures me that we have the correct number of people to separate into teams for the next day. That being said we should surely be able to find you a team to play on for the first day and that guarantees you in for the second day. As far as a registration fee it will be between five and seven dollars per person and that will cover you for both days. We have never had a tournament that didn't have last minute teams put together here in Portland so there won't be a problem finding you somebody to play with. I think Rev Phil is 100% for showing up to a tournament and putting a team together. I will speak with locals and see what I can find out.

Seattle or East Van got any stragglers?

I'll probably be up there. I'm wondering, will you be basing the teams on anything other than city? I want to play in the tournament, but I'm not a very strong player. Don't really want to drag down the world class kids if I don't have to!

polopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolo

You won't be dragging anyone down, it's really just a chance for everyone to get to play together. It will be tournament style with rankings and some prizes but hopefully it doesn't become overly competitive. The world class kids will pick you up and help you out they are all really nice guys and fun to play with.

i'm way excited for this! so skipping the cog tourney to come out there!

how are straggler teams coming along? i dont know if i'd need it quite yet but is there any chance of a place to stay? i'd be happy to pay in beer or something.

also i'd totally thrown down for a porta potty.. classy classy

hey cait, you will definitely get a place to crash, fear not. not sure whats happening in that realm yet but we'll take care of you.

can't wait to thank each and everyone in person. especially after i kick a little ass.

that a girl! high spirited! that's what i like to see :) marcooooo.

You definitely got trouble if you play against me. My ass is not little.

pfft... i'll just kick a nice sized chunk then. repeatedly.

danya-don't worry about it. just come and have fun! i'm horrible but that is not stopping me from playing in as many local-ish tourneys as I can. how you gonna get any better unless you play more? :)

hay tia i here you are preety fuckin good dont sell yer self short

BUTT three asshole's make a good team"

hey robbie, i don't know where you heard that. and i never sell myself short, i'm too tall. :) but i hope to be better by next month-once this stupid wednesday night class gets out of my way and i can focus on polo more...anyhow-by the time i meet you in september i think i will be at an acceptable level of playerdom. we'll see...
anyhow! Just a few weeks til this tourney, eh? Suh-weet!

YA I AM THINKING makeing a paddle boat and useing my polo bike as power and come across and se the dark side pf polo ihere it is the best polo this side of the pacos

two asshole's don't make it right"
BUTT three asshole's make a good team"

"the dark side of polo"? like the moon? or like star wars? come to the dark side...ha. just grab a canoe and throw the bike in there, man. or get Pieter to lead a tour to the great polo courts of Oregon...you can hide in the luggage compartment. :-*

i think my team is gonna be polly and kayla and i, but we are not 100% on this just yet. Anyhow, I do know we are all looking forward to the tourney. i'm already plotting team name options...and outfits(i failed this weekend on my fashion polo mission, good thing there are 3 more tourneys I'm signed up for)!

if he fit in the luggage compartment maybe

i got a real good one but i cant say it on the net i would burn in HELL for that or i would get in shit the big dogs if this site

two asshole's don't make it right"
BUTT three asshole's make a good team"

just get a copyright and then nobody can steal it from you...maybe when i come to east van my team name will be "i was robbed at the boards by rawbieboardz, and all i got was this lousy t-shirt"
or -Boxheads,Inc.
or...really, the possibilities are endless.

is corvallis coming to this thing or what? eugene? other places in oregon that we don't see enough of?

YES YES AND PIN BOTTONS

two asshole's don't make it right"
BUTT three asshole's make a good team"

RB, flirting. How cute.

The porta potty thing aint gonna happen. More permit fees plus the cost of the thing itself. Booooo.
The bathrooms aren't that far away though so y'all will be fine. Portland never lets down on places to stay so I wouldn't worry about any of that and we can figure it all out when people get here. I'm trying to get a lot of stuff together so that everybody walks away from this one with something to remember it by. If I run out of schwag and you don't get something let me know and we'll get ya a homemade tattoo or something similarly amazing. It looks like this will be pretty big so if any of you can contact me with the number of teams your city will be bringing plus any stragglers and let me get an idea of numbers that would be frggin' sweet!

and the bathrooms are sixty seconds by bicycle, i couldn't agree more. less porta-potty, more beer.

It looks like there will be three teams from SF bringing up some ruckus and wreckage. A fourth team is possible. Have not heard from Oakland, but imagine that there a couple who would like to make it up. Polojoel has the list of committed players. How may teams are confirmed so far?

sweet! bring it on lower "cascadia" region...

hey brian. i sent an email around to the evbp crew and didn't get a whole lotta response. that said, i still think we'll have a bunch of folks going - they just don't have their shit together till polo time. as it stands we have ballz deep and the prophecy. we also have probably enough straglers to make another two teams. i wouldn't be surprised if evbp had 4-5 teams.

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

Word is that we've got Balls Deep; The Prophecy; Jon, Me, and a third; Andreas, Tim, and Andy; and maybe another. Is Lisa heading down?

I think people are tying to get something going in Victoria too. Just saw an email tonight about it.

do you know how to swim? just in case you fall out of the boat? or will they supply you with a life vest?

if you were to guess, how many kegs of beer will be consumed?

Sat at the park from 11am until 9pm
Sat at the party from 9pm until blotto
Sun back at the park

I was thinking 8 kegs all together, but perhaps some of yalls have opinions stronger than 8%

And remember this is for posterity, so please, be honest.

I'll be coming up from Ashland.
It's just me though so I need a team.
Anyone have some extra players?
Anyone need an extra player?

kayla and i need a third at this point. can you pass, get some goals, and holler a lot? well, i have the hollering down, kayla makes goals, i sometimes manage to do the same...we need someone who loves polo. do you love polo? do you want to play on our team? what can you contribute fashion wise? lol. do you anything sharkish and/or pink?

We can figure out straggler teams when you get here. I guarantee there will be some. Friday June 19th-Welcome party at the Polo Haus-5416 NE 14th Pl. Most of you know where that is. We need to register teams and possibly take care of a lot of the straggler teams that night at the party. We also need to be at the park on the courts and playing by noon. There are a lot of teams coming and I want to have time to slow it down at the final six or eight and allow for one court to have pick-up games while we finish out the tournament, but we obviously don't want to do this in the dark so be early. There will be a penalty for teams not at the court when their games come up. I'm not sure what yet, possibly points awarded to the other team or something similar.

points awarded to the other team...eek! do you hear that my teammates? none of this showing up late shit.
polly broke her finger so she's not playing anymore, but i think she still aims to come and watch/cheer/heckle, just as an update for y'all.

I think that the offending team should have to chug a twelve pack and then play.

BRING THE RUCKUS

BEN

BRINGING THE RUCKUS

a 12 pack between the whole team? how about a 6 pack? i bet we could handle that...

BRINGING THE RUCKUS

oh ho ho you must not have heard my name is tiahdactyl. aka megaphone. i am the ruckus!!! huh count it.

Haha. The ruckus is about to come. Does bringing an entourage of Ridazz up to destroy the city a week in advance count as cheating?

Because we're doing it anyway. ETA <48 hours.

polopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolo

so are you saying we are going to have a ruckus duel? sweet. and no, i don't think arriving in town early is cheating. so you should show up to play some sunday polo!

So now that you've seen the 20 odd Ridazz camping in the backyard, what do you think?
I love playing with you guys!

polopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolopolo

Hey East Van crew: anyway I could hitch a ride outta town with you after the tourney? I have a couple potential jobs that I'd like to set up interviews for, and have a chance to scope the city out. So if any of you drivers has room for an extra passenger can you let me know? I'll chip in on gas of course, I could even bake you a cake... Also if anyone has a place I could crash at for a night or two that'd be sweet, too.

depends how full we are and that depends on when we get our act together and figure out rides. if i have an extra space in my car, it's yours.

BRINGING THE RUCKUS

BRINGING THE RUCKUS

OK here's what's going on so far. For those of you who will be in town early enough, we are going to try to set up the polo court sometime Friday afternoon and stay there and play pick-up til dark. If you don't want to play polo or come to the park then go to the polo haus-5416 ne 14th place. We will be having the welcoming party at the polo haus and I am sure there will be polo in the road there as well. There will be free beer at the party so save that cash for the registration fee, $7 per person-$21 per team which will be due Friday night at the party. There will be a table at the party for people to register so if you don't want to attend-why the fuck not???-make sure your team has a representative that will. I need to have the bracket made Saturday morning along with a million other things so I need this to happen Friday night.

Saturday-show up at the park at 11 a.m. at the latest get yourself situated, have a beer, play some pickup, whatever. Rules and shit will be announced and the tournament will begin at noon.

Straggler teams-if you don't have a team contact me now and let me know and we will figure one out for you.

Places to stay-we can figure most of that out when you get here if you haven't already found a place. Remember tents and sleeping bags are always a good thing. It's friggin summertime.

thanks for everything brian, we'll see you friday night.

And bring a t-shirt, we'll make stencils. It'll be so cool, I promise.

i think that should be the tagline for the tourney "it'll be so cool, i promise". :)
ok, i'll be my teams rep, but we're still needing a third-so does anyone wanna step up to the plate before friday night?

hey, just lost a teammate. Any teams need another player. I'll be up Friday night till Tuesday morning. Ready to bring the ruckus!!!

oh, we got a third now. the tall guy who was being a great goalie last night, adam, we nabbed him on monday night, thanks for checking in though.

Im not sure who snatched up Lil' Sarah (Danya) but she plays a mean goalie, and is one of the more fearless riders when it comes to laying down hard screens and bike checks, definitely a threat in the crease. second. Portland (drew, Eric, James(bc))
third. Portland (Brian, Jerry, ken)
fourth. Ballz down under (rory, peiter, Damon(malborne, aussi))

cascadia across the boards, Martin says fuck y'all

Good Job CASCADIA!!!

is martin naked yet thats fuck up thought

two asshole's don't make it right"
BUTT three asshole's make a good team"

i don't think martin is naked yet...but he's at the polo haus with a lot of other people and i am unfortunately not there cos i messed my shoulder up when running in the court, oops. i did dare him to streak during one of the final rounds and i believe he said "no way". andres also declined.
so, the day at the courts started out pretty shitty because of the rain we'd had yesterday, the courts were super slick. people were crashing all over the place and nobody was on their a game, because it wasn't really possible to be.

eventually people started getting more comfortable and picked up the pace, but there was still a ton of slipping and sliding.

we've been boozing it up on kegs of ninkasi total domination ipa-and i gotta say that's pretty awesome-that alone is worth the ten dollar entry fee.

so, at the end of today's rounds prizes were awarded and then brian picked names out of cups to assemble tomorrow's mixed crew. i am probably not going to be able to play which sucks for many reasons but especially cos i was randomly placed on a team with john jeffrey mardlin, and i was stoked about that.

anyhow-here is the list of teams for tommorow as far as it stands right now:
1.Damon, Brian Pagel, Doug
2.Kenny, Wheelie Mark, Drew G
3.Martin, Eric, Kelsie

there may be a couple extra teams tomorrow of people who didn't get on a team today. i am most likely gonna need someone to sub for me, but it looks like it should be a good mix of people and lots of fun!

there were many awesome moments today on and off the court-and some of the shenanigans were captured on video by Olag, so hopefully we will all get to see them at some point...

ya know that hippie plays good dam i wish once more i was thier DAM FREE BEER

two asshole's don't make it right"
BUTT three asshole's make a good team"

congrats to kenny, wheelie mark and drew for winning the hat tourney!!! i'm so proud of our boy kenny. damn was he ON! wheelie mark deserves a huge ovation for his first tourney win and for being named mvp.

so much rad polo. brian, i can't thank you enough for putting on such a great tourney and for playing on a team with me because crandal couldn't find the court (or, whatever...). thanks also to kelsie for playing on my team. thanks to all of portland (drew = i LOVE you!). thanks to the l.a. and san fran kids. forrest: you my bitch (send me the photo of your haircut). l.a. andreas: i will win my money back. leon: thanks for the words. casey and ringer: you had me in absolute stitches. thank you. to all the east vancouverites who made the trip: we showed up in force and it was and is always a blast partying with you in another city.

HIT HIM IN THE MIND!!!!

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

i really enjoyed martin, casey and todd's yelling out lines from slapshot. casey was in a great mood and it was good to see him again. san francisco must be treating him right.
it was good to officially meet martin, we both decided despite being at other tourneys together we hadn't met, or at least didn't remember. ahhh, beer.
speaking of-great job brian, phil and whoever else secured the kegs this weekend, ninkasi total domination ipa is awesome!!!
thanks to everyone who let me and assorted others run a saltiness contest...once again-the wonders of beer know no bounds!
pieter-do not lose those socks!
although the first day was crashtastic it was good to see dry ground for day two, and it was really fun to watch the mixed teams. adam l. from portland was on a team with kayla and i on saturday, had to put together a bike at the court and earlier tried to feed us some crap about not playing if it rained...and then he went on to be part of the third place team. way to go adam! you had some great goalie moments.
dabby kept doing circles and not tap outs...kind if like when mason only does a half circle.
thanks to everyone for coming-a special shout out to everyone from californ-i-a who made the trek up.
east van-it's always fun to mingle with y'all, i wish some of the ladies(and robbie)could've made it.
it was nice to chat with the seattlites down here, and i think leon wins the best dressed category for sunday...
what a weekend...man, i don't wanna go to school today.

p.s. where is my hat? andres, do you have it? i picked up two coats at the court-one was being used for warmth and is maybe at the polo haus now? it was green, the other is an rei blue rain coat. whose is it?

Second day results:

First- Wheelie Mark(Portland),Drew(Seattle),Kenny(EastVan)
Second- Kenichi(Portland),Nano(Seattle),Alex(EastVan)
Third- Adam(Portland), Casey(SF), Pieter(EastVan)

Thanks Everyone for coming out, that was a blast!

PROPS TO THE WHOLE PODIUM!!!

That is a beautiful podium. Someone tell Wheelie Mark how happy I am at seeing him in first place!

Also, CASCADIA!

best tournament of the year cascadia, nothing else has even come close. well done playing two full days of games with no stupid refs, no stupid goal judges, no stupid time limits, and no stupid end to the beer. the throw-in tournament was brilliant, watching everyone playing together and figuring out the good polo. miss you all already, we got back into vancouver at five this morning. i think adam hicks is sleeping in a ditch somewhere.

i think adam and james are in se portland...or maybe on the road by now.
despite the horrible start and not getting to play yesterday i too thought it wound up being a great tournament. way to go polo players!

how's the shoulder tiah? fuck hospitals. you americans are tough enough and resourceful enough to take care of yourselves. at least that's what my doctor and our canadian department of defence told me (for free).

that was the most fun game of the tournament so, you're welcome.

hit em in the mind hole.

I'm only in North America for 4 weeks, but I have to saw to everyone involved that I last weekend was the absolute highlight of my trip! To all the new people I met and all the others I've met in the past (Seattle Tour de polo familiar faces) and finally putting some faces to names from this forum. Thank You!

Thanks for all being so welcomeing and interested in polo in Australia. This is an open invitation for anyone to come and stay with polo people in Australia, whatever city you're in, we can work something out.

Thanks Tiah for posting the photos so soon. I might pinch one for bikepolo.com.au if thats okay with you?

Still have another few weeks in Vancouver to sharpen my skills before I head back to Australia...

hey damon,
great to meet you this weekend, and yeah of course feel free to use a photo for the site in oz. :) if a fella named kieran ever shows up to polo in melbourne tell him tiah says hi(he's good mates with my buddy over in adelaide)have fun during the rest of your stay in the north!

Fuck ya, thank you Brian & everyone else who made the weekend go! Stunning polo, no drama. Casey tried to warn us how long & deep the A-list went, I was still surprised. It's great to play such strong clean competition, no refs.

Looking forward to playing y'all again. August. Maybe September.

Halloween.

LOST SUNGLASSES

When the sun went down, my dumb ass left my sunglasses hanging on the fence at the tennis courts. They were hanging over by the main entrance just off the right as you walk in. They are a pair of oakleys with reflective lenses. If anyone grabbed them please, please let me know. Thanks

Ben

BRINGING THE RUCKUS

BRINGING THE RUCKUS

Thanks to Portland for putting together such a good tournament. Thanks to Tom, John, Meg, and Joel for being my teammates. Nice setup you've got going there at Pier Park (thanks, Mark!). Thanks to Brian for the organization and Drew for the house. Plus, free booze and free food. It's always a blast to watch the great polo and talk to the friendly out of towners. What more could you ask for?

ok so i posted all the photos i had (200 plus), so if you want to wade through all of them you can, and i just made a set which has only 81 shots-so obviously a lot got left out, i decided my best photos are portraits when it comes to polo, and not so much the action shot so there are mostly portraits in the set. phil and our buddy r.kelley and i think lisa and a few others keep telling me to edit my photos-but that's not my style, yo. but i slimmed down the set with all those peeps in mind.

i haven't had a ninkasi in days...it feels so wrong.

just repeatedly whack your other shoulder against a brick wall while standing under power lines and huffing gas...it's pretty much the same thing in my experience...

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

no, no, martin thats not the same thing at all. ninkasi is akin to greatness, whereas shoulder pain and huffing gas are not...i only know about the shoulder pain though. plus! that arm already has a metal plate in it and i prefer not to attempt to smash it on anything. thanks for the suggestion though.
if you come to seattle, can you bring your toys with you? :)

toys?

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

"they brought their fuckin toys with them!"
you're slipping martin...

Been trying to recall some favorite moments of the weekend.

Theme music: The Misfits. DJ Casey Murder's music device carries just one CD, by The Misfits, and we all listened to it all day.

Best Check: DJ Casey Murder, getting rolled off his bike across mid court.

Best Goal: The hard one about 2' off the ground that took out Rev Phil's beer and bounced off his forehead. Worth the price of admission right there.

Best sacrifice pass: Kim, feeding me the winning goal while taking a bar end to the rib cage. Thank you Kim, it was very nice to win one tourney game at this thing. Fuck who knew we'd be playing on an ice skating rink?

We came to the right place moment: At the registration table Friday night, under the blazing electric fluorescent at the Polo Haus, drinking TD, watching dfunken polo on the street. In rolls a Michael Jackson vs. David Bowie bike mob.

Great hope for San Francisco polo:

Martin's Bitch.
(Treat him nice Martin.)

Y'all are awesome. Really looking forward to Seattle.

forrest's hair better look exactly the same when i see him next (seattle?) or we do it all over again...

TOP CENTER 4-EVA

Okay catfish, I'm going to move my mouth like this...

those are some great memories! i'd almost forgot about the ball hitting phil's beer, that was hilarious.
thanks for coming to portland! :)

forrest is now sporting a mohawk.

sooo...member when i slipped and fell running on the polo court saturday night of the tourney? and we all thought i was fine? i went to a doctor this past saturday who didn't take an x-ray but moved my arm around a bit(i can't lift it by itself)and said she thought i may have torn my rotator cuff adn i should get an mri.
so this afternoon i was trying to arrange for one, but apparently hats a big hassle so i decided to just say fuck it and go to the ER. I got my x-ray and was sitting around in the room when the P.A. came back and said "you're my new toughest patient". Guess who broke their arm 3 weeks ago? Humeral head fracture. Count it.

Yikes, you've had a broken arm the whole time? I thought that bruising looked pretty intense.

You know East Van has a club doctor :)

yeah, intense indeed! i do know that, he kind of looked it over that sunday. i think the thing was because i was not exhibiting signs of being in extreme pain everyone thought i was fine, myself included. i mean ,i knew there was "something" wrong, but i've been biking around for the past couple weeks so i assumed it was not broken. anyhow, i have a high tolerance for pain...next time i'll just go straight to the er.
hope life is good back in australia! :)
